Kruger National Park Afternoon Drive
The Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest game reserve, and one of the most respected in the world. Our highly experienced field guides are passionate about the bush, and they will share their knowledge of the 147 species of mammals, more than 500 species of birds and 336 species of trees which make this 2-million-hectare space their home, with our guests. The recorded presence of man – including bushman rock paintings and archaeological sites, are conserved along with the Park’s natural assets. If time permits, at least one of these will be included in the trip. From an Open Safari Vehicle guests can smell the dust and the sun-warmed grass, listen to the cicadas and the cry of the Fish Eagles, and enjoy the heat of an African day. However, we are also able to offer a safari in a closed, air-conditioned vehicle. This is a pleasant and comfortable option especially in very hot weather, for older guests, and for families travelling with young children.

A night safari tour in the Kruger National Park gives guests an unforgettable evening in the bush. The spotlight on the open safari vehicle allows guests to see shy, nocturnal animals, seldom seen during the day.
Dinner is a candle-lit barbecue buffet in the bush, accompanied by the sounds of the African bush at night, and illuminated by the stars of the African night sky. An armed ranger provides protection from any carnivores that may wish to join the feast.
After dinner the game drive continues on the way back to the gate.
